Renewed Hope Agenda: Funkekeme, Asiuwhu Take Tinubu’s Goodwill Message to Kabowei Kingdom

Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, Chief Policy Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s New Year goodwill message to the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Barr. P.S. Erebulu, Aduo III.

The goodwill visit took place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Kabowei Kingdom headquarters in Patani, Patani Local Government Area of Delta State. Rt. Hon. Funkekeme was accompanied by Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, JP, Chairman of the Delta State Taskforce on Environment.

According to Rt. Hon. Funkekeme, the visit was undertaken on behalf of President Tinubu to convey the President’s deep respect for the Kabowei royal stool and traditional institutions across the country. He presented a Season’s Greetings and Goodwill Message letter personally signed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to His Royal Majesty.

In his brief address, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme highlighted the President’s strong regard for traditional rulers and their critical role in national unity, peacebuilding, and grassroots governance. He noted that President Tinubu values the partnership between government and traditional institutions and urged the Pere to continue supporting the Renewed Hope administration.

Responding, His Royal Majesty, Barr. P.S. Erebulu, Aduo III, expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu for the honour and recognition accorded to him and other traditional rulers. The monarch commended the President’s inclusive leadership approach and called for the constitutional recognition and clearly defined roles for traditional rulers in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, noting their importance in sustaining peace and development at the grassroots.

Also during the visit, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu, JP, who accompanied the State Coordinator, was presented with a separate Season’s Greetings and Goodwill Message letter from President Tinubu.

The visit concluded with prayers offered by the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, Chief Godspower Asiuwhu, and members of their team, wishing them wisdom, strength, and success in their service to the nation.
